I liked the series and found it had a good premise to it. Just surprised it got recently cancelled, even it was one of those shows that filled all the PC boxes. I've found that CBS, as well as other networks has been having a bit of trouble with new shows lately, regardless of the genre. Very few new shows have lasted more than one season. Guess with all the streaming services out there, offering shows at a lower price than it takes for someone to buy a cable service, it's harder for networks to keep shows going.
It could also be because networks only count DVR viewings for the the first three days after it's been broadcast, after that it's not included in their ratings. So even though a hundred people may have recorded it on their DVR, if only 40 of them watch the show in the first three days it's counted. The other 60 who watch it after the three days are not counted as watching it, which is the reason why certain shows have a low rating. Now with most people stuck in their homes because of COVID-19 ratings could've gone up, but maybe not enough to keep the show going. The show did end of somewhat of a high note, even though they hinted on a new storyline, that now sadly will never get looked into.
