In an alternate universe, Rhett and Link never met as kids and thus never became the YouTube stars we know today. Link is fired from his job and evicted from his home, and meets a quirky guy named Rhett who is looking for a roomie.

Rhett and Link attempt to find out more about their mysterious roommate Glen, and his connection to a place called The Sanctuary.

Rhett burns his tongue and loses his extreme tasting abilities, so Link has to step in and take over his job despite his aversion to trying new flavors.

Feeling the urge to become a family man, Link decides to date Vanessa. Meanwhile, Rhett uses a virtual reality game to become his best self -- an overweight middle aged housewife.

A little girl interrupts Rhett and Link's big social plans to tell them the story of 19th Century explorers Rhark and Linkis, who were intent on expanding America's borders inside the earth.

A spat about a remote control leads Rhett and Link to give each other the silent treatment, which becomes their ticket to fame and fortune.

Rhett and Link go their separate ways to achieve their ultimate destinies, both of which are pretty insane.
