It's back for season 2, if you haven't seen any of the new ones yet. I really like the "blind" ghost box technique. Adam asks a series of questions of the ghost box, while Amy is blindfolded, with earphones hooked to the ghost box. Amy can't "see" or hear Adam's questions. She just repeats the "blind and deaf" ghost box answers. Fascinating technique!
I watched episode one from season three last night, on the Travel Channel. Sad to say, they've given in to the melodrama, like Ghost Adventures. Not at all like their previous seasons or episodes. I sincerely hope this format change isn't permanent.
Oh, I don't know, Lima. It was good to see Chip Coffey again, although his scenes appear heavily edited. I can't rememeber the name of their fourth ghost hunter, but it was interesting to see him on an investigation in a coat and tie, looking very professional.

That fourth ghost hunter was John Tenney. Interesting fellow and he has an interesting website. As far as being heavily edited, the end looked rushed and the dialog, especially Amy's explanation of how to attack the negative spirit seemed very scripted.
If Amy and Adam are the executive producers, it's like they've lost control of the show's original production values and intent. Surrounding the building with positivity, even using children is a "double-edged sword." What better way that to employ their positive innocence? But to expose them to what Chip called a "low level demonic" presence, I think opens them up to
potentially dangerous forces... if you're a believer.
Yes, I was disappointed with that first new episode, but not ready to give up on them, just yet. Their first two season showed just how professional paranormal investigations can be. And I was impressed (positively - lol) with John Tenney's approach.
I'll reserve judgment until I see tonight's episode. From the previews, it looks like Chip Coffey will be back. Wonder if he's a permanent addition to the cast?
I really enjoyed their third episode (season three), the one at Gettysburg. They've gotten back to their investigaative roots, now. Finding the entity that fixated on the mirror was a real coup. Amy and Adam used the "blind" ghost box technique to make that discovery. Good stuff!!
I've seen both episodes 2 and 3 from the 3rd season. Both are improvements over the first new ep. The Gettysburg hunt was the best new one so far. Since this is where Adam got his start in the paranormal, I was surprised he didn't follow up with his original encounter, by way of introducing this one. I'd be interested in hearing more on that!
