Her character is too overpowering. Since when has Star Trek been about one person. She has to be in almost every scene and every conversation, making every decision. Pike and Saru act like emasculated puppies without her. Star Trek has always been about developing its characters. There are others on the bridge we know nothing about because Burnham is being constantly shoved down our throats.
There have been 2 great moments in season 3:
This show is nothing more than a somewhat interesting Sci-Fi-fi flick. It's definitely not Star Trek. Thumbs down to CBS for messing up the Star Trek universe with a show like this.
P.S. It would be nice to watch an episode without someone effing crying.

We-ellllllllll, I agree with Tyler 200% that Star Trek has always been about a bunch of people -- it should feature an ensemble cast. Michael is nice to look at, however.

I've finally understood why some 'toxic fans' dislike DSC yet they can not stay away from it's board to talk about their dislike. Actually it is not true dislike, it more a mixture of envy/jealousy and fear. True dislike would have elicited solid reasons by now. Whenever I feel passionate about something, I am able to discuss it inside and out. Notice I said passionate because the true opposite of interest is disinterest. These TF (toxic fans) are not disinterested in DSC, quite the opposite they are fixated on the show Why? Well is it MB! As a black male, she is simply a over dressed female . A character who is given the typical superhero treatment of Western culture. To the mainly white male TF's however, MB has touch a historic nerve and awakens a archetype of the black female they have long feared: Lucretia Borgia. Those interested can google Lance Horner and Kyle Onstott's historical novels . After reading a few you will certainly come across this black female character who is burned into the psyche of white males for all time. The Envy and Jealousy became clear to me when I rewatched DSC S2E2, 3 and 4. Most of those MB and Pike shared the screen and eventually MB came out on top. That's the root cause of her hatred. She is younger, smarter, stronger and bolder than TOS Kirk, Picard, Janeway and Archer...she even more daring than young Kirk of the movies. I mean she is written that way not that SMG is necessarily that way herself. This perfection has earned her the hatred of those who have always seen their kind ONLY in that light. Hence MB must be stopped otherwise others might want to be in her shoes! Along comes Pike who does a fair job of approximating the kind of hero they find acceptable. Mount is an okay actor a little stiff at times and doesn't really convince anyone is his NOT acting but he will do! Pair with Peck's Spock, that is too much to resist. Peck is a fine actor just a miss casting for Spock imho. His face is simply too soft. Nimoy's Spock we met as an adult and that character had a hardness/firmness about him that everyone relied on. Peck's Spock is too troubled too. So the historical fear of Lucretia Borgia transfers to the very present fear of MB, that can't be good! Hey Knixon, guess what? Among the things charged of Majorie Taylor Greene, your word came up....MISCEGENATION! Yes, it seems like you, she was upset about that too, though if you dig further you probably find out she like black dick anyway. That's usually how those things work. Which makes only YOU the real loser Knix! . It was one of the things she is alleged to have discussed widely in her racist rants. I immediately thought about YOU!
