I very much doubt that she will leave. If she does I think it will be the first time that the Doctor and Companion have changed at the same time, regardless of production teams.
Did this new companion get any exposure on tv or papers before joining?i don't remember hearing anything about her until the new season started . Unlike the previous ones
New Doctor and new companion for Matt Smith when Moffat took over.
True, but that (as far as I know) is the only time in the entire history of the show.
You really do not know your Doctor Who!
Doctor Number 3 had a new companion after he was forcibly regenerated.
Doctor Number 8 had a new companion for his solo outing.
Doctor Number 9 had a new companion went the show was relaunched.
I do in fact know Doctor Who extremely well, the ones you have stated are obvious because they all occurred because of the show either being on hiatus or completely scrapped. They are however still exceptions to the norm. It has previously been mentioned on the now defunct IMDB boards that the program tries to avoid changing both Doctor and Companion at the same time.
Also with Tennant's regeneration, it wasn't as though Donna was the active companion during the changeover. She had finished her role for an entire year already while Ten ran around on his own doing specials. They brought her back for a relatively small part in EOT, but Wilf was the main companion of that episode.
