TOP OF THE LAKE - Finished watching this very satisfying mini-series - Season 2. 5/STARS. IMHO. Season one was about a Paedophile ring in New Zealand, Season 2 is about Sex Trafficking in Sydney, Australia and the murder of one of the trafficked sex workers. Starring Elizabeth Moss, and Guest Star Nicole Kidman. Subplots, sex workers also being used as surrogates for women who cannot have children. GFE. The Girl Friend Experience. Gwendoline Christie a 6 foot 3" female police constable is paired with Elizabeth Moss who nearly steals this TV series and by the end of it, you will be smitten with her character. Nicole Kidman's daughter is friends with the murdered sex worker, etc, etc. Well worth the watch. Written and Directed by Jane Campion. (The Piano).

SPOILERS (maybe)
Binged it and so many intense scenes esp when Robin faces her ex boss from season 1 and Puss! I don't really see much of motherly chemistry for her and the daughter (who was so hard to watch spiral, so toxic felt bad for the parents) but more like estranged sister vibe.
Also liked watching Miranda, refreshing for Robin to have a female friend who's funny and annoying at the same time. Previous season even if there were many female like in Paradise - she was always with Johnno. I thought Game of Thrones exaggerated her being tall but wow - she's really tall!
Nicole Kidman was also enjoyable to watch here like strangely looked very pretty to me even if supposed to be older, she reminded me of 90s Nicole Kidman before plastic surgery.
Would also like to see reaction of the friends of GFE guy (in love with Cinnamon) like that was weird, their scenes at the cafe.
As for 'villain' guy - I prefer to watch Matt's character from season 1, like I was more curious to find out more about him and what he will do next compared to Puss - who I didn't really care for even if he was involved with the brothel etc.
And the music with the humming while showing the landscape of Bondi beach - nicely creepy. Blends well with the hair coming out of the suitcase. And Robin being drunk during the important happening was kinda funny, reminded me of Peggy from Mad Men.
