OT definitely! I just took a look at the TMDB board for an-oldie- but-goody film from the same era as our favorite TV series: "The Kremlin Letter." The plot description, which I copied and pasted below, looks just like the self-destructing instructions that Jim or Dan might hear from "the voice on the tape." The only difference is, there are no Gellerese countries!
"A network of older spies from the West recruits a young intelligence officer with a photographic memory to accompany them on a mission inside Russia. They must recover a letter written by the CIA that promises American assistance to Russia if China gets the atomic bomb."

@lima-2 I've never heard of that movie but it sounds interesting.

Richard Boone (Have Gun Will Travel) was one of the older spies. He went around calling everyone "Nephew" in the film. I guess he thought he was Uncle Sam. I considered him as one of your alternate IMF leaders, but he wasn't "pretty" enough for those times. :-(

@lima-2 Well, Stephen Hill wasn't the best looking guy in the world, but he was definatly not pretty!
