The hero of the story is Kappei Sakamoto, a high school student with amazing athletic abilities who joins the basketball team of Seirin High School and quickly becomes one of the most skilled players. Kappei has one unusual handicap for a basketball player - his height; he stands not even one meter tall. His Achilles' heel is female undergarments; he has a particular interest in white panties, and is even more enthusiastic about joining the basketball team when he discovers that the team's female coach, Coach Natsu, wears white panties (although his inventive attempts to sneak a peek at said panties usually result in a physical beatdown from the hot-tempered coach). Eventually, Kappei's athletic prowess extends beyond basketball, and he tries out for - and excels at - every sport the school offers.

In the first episode, Kappei meets and becomes enamored with Akane Aki, a sweet, pretty girl who is quite athletic herself (she later joins the school's ping-pong team) and signs on as assistant coach of Seirin's basketball team. Much to Kappei's delight, not only is Akane pretty, but she also wears white panties, and Kappei sets his sights on winning her heart. Kappei eventually moves in with Akane and her family after his parents (who are rarely around) leave for the United States. However, Kappei has an unusual rival for Akane's heart - Akane's dog, Seiichiro, who has often fantasized about marrying his owner and, resenting Kappei, immediately seeks to sabotage his relationship with Akane through various tricks. Seiichiro can also speak, although only Kappei can understand him.

Ο Τζίτζι είναι ένας ιδιαίτερα κοντός τύπος, αλλά είναι δάσκαλος σε οποιοδήποτε άθλημα. Ζει ως φιλοξενούμενος στο σπίτι μιας γλυκιάς κοπέλας και είναι ερωτευμένος μαζί της, αλλά υπάρχει ένας παράξενος αντίπαλος, ο σκύλος της που σχεδιάζει σατανικές παγίδες για να ταλαιπωρεί τον Τζίτζι. Αλλά ο σκύλος έχει και μια άλλη λειτουργία: εξηγεί όλους τους αθλητικούς κανόνες όταν εμφανίζεται ένα νέο άθλημα.

Il protagonista della storia è Kappei Sakamoto, un ragazzo dotato di grandi capacità verso qualunque tipo di sport, simpatico, dolce e generoso, ma ha un unico "difetto": non raggiunge neanche il metro d'altezza.

Kappei non ne fa un problema, anzi, ne approfitta per vedere sotto le gonne delle studentesse, perché, oltre allo sport, la sua passione sono le mutandine bianche. Anche se eccelle in ogni tipo di sport, non gli va di iscriversi a nessun circolo sportivo, ma, per le regole della scuola, il Liceo Seirin, è costretto a scegliere una disciplina.

Sceglierà il circolo che sembra essere meno adatto a lui, quello della pallacanestro. Oltre ai componenti della squadra, qui incontrerà Akane, ragazza gentile e sensibile, che farà breccia nel suo cuore. I tentativi di Kappei di conquistare Akane, però, vengono sempre intralciati da uno spasimante insolito, il cane della ragazza, Seiichirō, che sa parlare, ma solamente Kappei riesce a capirlo.

Con l'avanzare del tempo, Kappei si lancia una sfida: decide di sfidare tutti i circoli sportivi e batterli.

Serial anime opowiada o chłopcu imieniem Gigi, który pomimo niewielkiego wzrostu postanawia wstąpić do drużyny koszykarzy. Wkrótce staje się gwiazdą zespołu. Prócz tego próbuje sił w innych sportach (pływanie, tenis stołowy) i walczy o uczucie koleżanki, Anny, w której jest zakochany.

Chicho Terremoto es un canijo al que le van mucho las chicas guapas que sobretodo llevan ropa interior blanca. Por esta razón se mete en más de un problema. Su amor incondicionado por Rosita le lleva a unirse a "Los Búfalos", un equipo de baloncesto donde ella inicialmente no está pero al que también formará parte al instalarse Chicho. Chicho deberá luchar por el amor de Rosita que es cortejada por Alan Tobias, del equipo de "Los leones".
