Sjef van Oekel arrives soaking wet from the rain for the first Discohoek. The Van Oekel Trofee goes to Peter Koelewijn, even though he didn't perform along with his Rockets on this occasion.

When Sjef van Oekel and Van der Pik take over the directing booth for one musical performance, they accidentally turn down the sound volume and switch to the other channel where the news is in progress. Mouth and MacNeal are the recipient of the coveted Van Oekel Trophy, even though they don't get to perform an entire song.

Van Oekel's Discohoek is causing the downstairs neighbors sleepless nights and Van der Pik a headache. Alvin Stardust accidentally end up performing in the neighbor's bedroom instead of on the show. While Sjef and Evert try to sort things out, Freddy Breck arrives and finds the studio empty. Thinking he's too early, Freddy loudly uses Van Oekel's toilet.

Belgian singing sensation Cindy is promoted by her pushy manager, who inadvertently also plugs Van Oekel's record 'Waar Heb Dat Nou Voor Nodig'. Van Oekel arrives late for his own Discohoek and contemplates quiting the show altogether. Evert van der Pik's office keeps collapsing in on itself.

Donna Summer gets her big break in the Netherlands by asking for a telephone to start her number. After this Wim T. Schippers calls in to say he's canceling his VPRO membership.

Season 1, Episode 7
Sjef van Oekel gets drunk celebrating the 12th and a half edition of his Disco corner, to the chagrin of some of his musical guests, most notably Kung Fu master Carl Douglas. He also announces an exclusive live performance by none other than Elvis Presley.

Van Oekel barely catches his train to Hilversum, only to find all the acts that are to perform on his Disco Hoek that very night traveling first class aboard the same train. Only Van Oekel's accountant Evert v.d. Pik has a second class ticket. They also bump into their old acquaintance Fred Haché who takes a liking to Corry Konings. On top of that their train conductor turns out to be actor/singer Edwin Rutten who has been forced to take a job at the railways.

Both Van Oekel and Van der Pik have hired a Santa Claus for their Christmas show. One of them is none other than Fred Haché. Reverend Bongers tries to use the disco show to address the youth. But Sjef van Oekel steadily proceeds to get completely drunk and ends up vomiting in Van der Pik's bicycle bag.

On their way to the studio, Sjef van Oekel and Evert van der Pik's car breaks down and they walk into a local Carnaval celebration. Evert gets to perform a song on stage and keeps calling Barend Servet who is minding the studio and the musical guests therein.

To celebrate the Year of the Woman, Sjef van Oekel lets a female replacement present his Discohoek: Gerda van Houten. Evert vd Pik also gets a counterpart of the fairer sex: Selda Kay. All goes reasonably well until Kay tries to do something about Evert's hairstyle and Gerda's husband burst onto the set to fetch her and force her back into the kitchen.

Van Oekel arrives late and causes an accident to boot, which may or may not have something to do with his stark naked female companion. While Sjef is planning to toast the season finale with an extravagant diner, Fred Haché is scheming to take over the Discohoek and make it his own. Donna Summer visits to thank Sjef van Oekel for making her a big success in the Netherlands.
