The Channel 4 version is a separate show.

It really shouldn't be though, changing production crew doesn't make it a new show. This split causes great confusion both on TMDB and elsewhere.

Channel 4 has initially restarted the season numbering from 1, automatically making it a new show.

They can restart it but it doesn't change the fact that for basically everyone else it's still the same show. There's no good reason to keep them split instead of adding a footnote about Channel 4 and their numbering, whatever that might be.

That's very unfortunate and causes so many issues for everyone trying to use TMDB, but so be it.
