Yes but not long ago non-stars didn't have much of a chance either. I suppose I could say that while the "noose" has tightened in Hollyweird, it's actually gotten better for most regular people. The Lacrosse team etc, and the video of the woman who went to prison for making a false accusation, show that the mere accusation is no longer sufficient on its own to put someone in prison.
In a way it's a shame that supposed victims can't just be believed even if just that belief isn't - and really never should have been - sufficient for a criminal case. But it's probably mostly to blame on the "wokeists" who pushed things way too far. To the extent that "rape" can now be interpreted as "any sexual interaction which the woman later regrets." Which probably qualifies as ironic that it created the backlash.

Another odd thing is that Musk is the one who challenged Depp into a cage-fight so I kind of doubt whether Depp is the aggressor here.also the statement of the bodyguard for her protection is not quite true as I believe there was a sworn statement by that same bodyguard where Heard had asked him if he or people he knew could "take care "of Depp.
As I pointed out if Depp wanted to confront Musk he should have done it three years ago at the time ...... second he was the one to threaten to cut of Musk's manhood ... Musk reacted to his words like anyone would have .
As for the later alcoholism and (possible drug use) I think an explanation can be found in the fact that he was under such stress of having an abusive wife together with the fact that a couple of years ago Depp got screwed over by his accountants that would have led many men on the path of alcoholism and drug use.
Since in his teens Depp himself confessed to having used drugs ..it's his way to deal with pressure and issues he can not deal with .. he was in his late teens already a rising star... we all have a way to protect our selves from situations we can't deal with.. drugs is Depps' way ... I listened to the link you provided and Heard is one that wants controversy ..she wanted Depp to stay and confront their issues ...unfortunately throwing objects and slapping at times was her way to discuss matters out ...I can see why Depp chose to leave and go in another room ... arguing reasonably is one thing but arguing with Heard was like arguing with a badger ..or a Tasmanian Mountain Devil...
if he used drugs and alcohol is because all his life he has used drugs and alcohol to deal with situations he can not control or deal with.
So this is why I don't understand why Depp just didn't say quits ....he had the strength to turn his back and go into another room, so why not just leave her full stop... there was no love anymore (at least worth fighting for). no children ...so why continue to live in that hell for months on end...he would be gone on set for months and then come back to a hell situation with her.... doesn't make sense to me..
Your explanation on why Heard has not been fired as spokeswoman of abused women made interesting read and I see what you mean ... unfortuately for Depp this didn't play in Depp's favour and that's why he lost the tiral case despite Heard's abusive behaviour has been demostrated.
As for this weekend I still have enough things on blu-ray and Netflix to watch plus since of yesterday I got myself another 5CD player because the other one broke down two weeks ago
What are you watching on Netflix any series in particular ??........ a 5CD player .. does that mean you have 5 selections ..radio , recorder, cd player ..the other two ???

No it's a CD player where you can put in 5 CD'S in a carousel en you can play the discs in all kinds of ways you can let the player pick random tracks from all the disc or just one disc, play the discs in sequence entirely or program tracks on one or various disc. watch the video and you'll see what I mean.i also have a DVD/CD/SACD layer that plays DVD's CD's and SACD's ,which stands for Super Audio Compact Disc which is a better version of CD and to create what audiophiles call a more Vinyl based sound which has a bit more atmosphere and warmth in it's sound plus because larger capacity of the disc is able to fir on a normal CD layer (to play the CD on a normal CD player) and a SACD layer that has this HQ audio layer that is often mix in 2.0 or in most cases 5.1 multi channel (the sound comes over 5 speakers and a subwoofer in stead of the usual 2 speaker stereo).
Great now Depp is no fired from Fantastic Beasts by Warner for beating his wife when he hasn't been convicted of such yet. See what i mean that only a woman's word is enough to get a man fired canceled and tarnished.God I hope Depp wins his case in the US because then he can sue them all for huge sums of money. The whole point of knowing the case is that Heard set up Depp.

My top system is all Luxman, including a Luxman CD player with vacuum tubes in the final output for smoother sound, and the results are really amazing.

Luxman has surround gear too, but show me where Dire Straits recorded anything in 5.1 and then we can talk.

Duh how many multichannel recordings from the 70's,80's and 90's do you remember even in the film industry multi-channel recordings were rare and only after Close Encounters Of The Third Kind (which to my knowledge was one of the very first multi channel recordings)that it became more of a thing in movies. In the music industry even today multi channel recordings are rare and usually limit themselves to recording live concerts .In fact the only multi channel recordings in the 70's were those quadrophonic releases ,I remember hearing a quadrophonic recording of Sweet Smoke's Silly Sally where in a drum segment you can hear the drums go from one speaker to another going all around the room.

Which is made-up BS, because the drums weren't moving around the room.

DUH BUT THE SOUND OF THE DRUMS DID

Only after artificially made to do so. That's my point. If the actual drums that made the sounds were not moving, then altering the sound so they APPEAR to be moving, is FAKE.

Well quadrophonics never became a big thing and the records released where very limited although it could have been thing for live recordings where you can capture the audience and the acoustics of the hall.
