I watched every episode. I don't know how I made it through the whole series. To me they were flying by the seat of their pants with no clue as to what direction they were going from one episode to the next. It was without a doubt the worst sci fi series I've ever watched. Yes there was some sort of very basic outline of a story. A story which went nowhere.

When it was made was not an issue for me. It didn't feel dated to me. It just didn't deliver. I watched Andromeda. I thought it was solid. I didn't think it was great, but I didn't think it was bad either. It was consistent.

Sorry I hope I didn't offend you if I bashed your favorite show. I should've worded it differently in a less negative tone. I don't know that I prefer a formulaic type of storytelling. I just was not entertained by the show. My favorites from that period are star trek ds9, Stargate sg1, stargate atlantis, babylon 5. I watched Farscape also, I thought that was pretty good but not as good as the other's I mentioned. Do you like any of those? I prefer ongoing story arcs. Also I'm on season 5 of Sliders. Not a bad series but should've been better I think.

It was just one of those things, I always planned on watching it because it looked like it would be my kind of series so I bought the whole thing. Since I bought it I felt like I should watch the whole thing and I kept hoping I'd like it more as the series went but it just never happened for me. I like the original BSG I watched that as a kid. Also really like Forbidden planet. I have not seen the Lathe of Heaven. I'm sure there's a lot of really good series out there that I missed or hadn't heard of. Just sometimes I don't get to them til 20 years after they've aired lol

That sounds like a really compelling story that I'd probably enjoy. Thanks for those links. I'll check those out. In a way it made me think of the movie Butterfly effect with ashton kutcher or whatever his name is. Dreams altering reality and all that.
