Having been recruited by an elite international peacekeeping group called the World Organization of Mega Powers (WOMP), Inspector Gadget is now Lieutenant Gadget, and fights crime with a pair of mechanical assistants called Gadgetinis, who are small robot versions of the Inspector created by his niece, 12-year-old Penny (due to Brain retiring from active duty).

Inspector Gadget en zijn nichtje Penny strijden nog altijd tegen de slechterik Dr. Claw. Sinds kort wordt het duo versterkt door de Gadgetinis. De groep heeft de missie alle snode plannen van Dr. Claw te dwarsbomen en de wereld te behoeden voor het gevaar.

L'inspecteur Gadget a pris du galon et est devenu Lieutenant de police. Il travaille désormais pour le WOMP, une organisation secrète, et obéit aux ordres de son supérieur direct, le Colonel Poloinet (dont il écorche tout le temps le nom en l'appelant "Colonel Poils au nez"). Pour accomplir au mieux ses missions, il est aidé par deux robots à son effigie construits par sa nièce Sophie, les Gadgetinis qui prennent la relève de Finot. Grâce à eux, il va devoir à nouveau affronter l'organisation MAD et faire échouer les plans de son chef, le toujours aussi redoutable Docteur Gang.

חוש-חש פרש מעולם הבילוש ועכשיו הוא חבר וסגן בארגון העולמי של כוחות העל. לחוש-חש הושתלו מספר גאדג'טים חדשים בגופו, ביניהם קסדה אדומה עם מדחף הליקופטר. הוא נעזר בקרן, שעכשיו בוגרת יותר, וברובוטים שלו שקרן בנתה, פידג'ט הכתום ודיג'ט הכחול, המכונים "החושחשים". בדרכם במשימה הם נמצאים בקשר עם קרן, שמחליפה את מוח שעכשיו הוא המנקה של בית הארגון. המפקח שפמון הוא עכשיו המלשינון של הארגון ומוחלף בקולונל שפמצ'יק.

Gadget e gadgettini (Gadget and the Gadgetinis) è una serie televisiva a cartoni animati canadese prodotta da SIP Animation Fox Kids Europe in collaborazione con lo studio francese M6-Metropole Television e l'italiano Mediatrade S.P.A.. È un seguito e spin-off della classica serie L'ispettore Gadget, prodotta da DiC Entertainment, con Haim Saban's SIP Animation e prodotta dal 2001 al 2002. È composta da 52 episodi. Viene trasmessa in Italia per la prima volta su Italia 1 dal 27 aprile 2009, tutti i giorni dal lunedì al venerdì, fino al 12 giugno 2009. È poi passata su Hiro, dal 28 novembre 2009, dove sono andati in onda anche i quattro episodi saltati su Italia 1, e dal 7 gennaio 2014 è tornata prima nella mattinata e poi a rotazione continua nella notte di Boing fino al luglio del 2015.

Tendo sido recrutado, o Tenente Bugiganga (promovido de seu cargo anterior de Inspetor), agora luta contra o crime com um par de assistentes mecânicos, pequenas versões robóticas que foram criados por Penny.
