More precisely, Episodes 1.8, 1.9 and 1.10 are part of season 2 right now and should be deleted in season 1.
Right now, it isn't exactly clear how the seasons of this show will be structured in the future. Episode 7 ("Corona Unternehmer des Jahres") didn't really seem to be a classic season finale and the winter break was comparably short.
If there is a "real" season finale in the future it might make sense to merge seasons 1 and 2 and create a TMDB-season for each "real" season, but right now putting the new episodes in season 2 seems like a good solution.
As the summer break of almost four months came to an end with the release of "Wie Wikipedia politisch beeinflusst wird", I think it would be appropriate to reopen the discussion on this topic.
In German public broadcasts, it seems to be common for satirical/comedic shows to have a short winter break (between one week before Christmas and the end of January) and a long summer break (between May and September). This pattern applies to the ZDF Magazin Royale as well as the Heute Show. Therefore I think the best solution is to treat all episodes from September until May as one season. This implies that "Wie Wikipedia politisch beeinflusst wird" should really be Season 2 Episode 1 instead of Season 2 Episode 15.
I think this is a fair point and it would make sense to talk about it, but I disagree with you on your opinion that the seasons should be split just at the summer break. I think that the final and first episodes of the runs between the breaks were not really that different, so I don't see why we would split it at that break but not the other, just based on the length of the break.
As I see it, there are two options: Keeping the seasons split at the winter break (so that one season == one year) or create a new season at each break.
I think you could argue both ways, since it isn't really clear, and the broadcaster doesn't officially state seasons. TMDB seems to have done it the second way with one season per break for the previous show Neo Magazin Royale. German Wikipedia has it both ways, Seasons for Neo Magazin are split at each break, Seasons of Neo Magazin Royale & ZDF Magazin Royale are split by year.
I think both models would work, but are both kind of arbitrary. Imo, keeping the seasons split by year would be the cleanest solution. But overall, I think both of those models would make more sense than splitting it at summer break.
Unfortunately, I don't remember what we decided at the end and why we made this decision? It's quite complicated, so one of the more experienced tv experts will have to take a look at this and find a solution for how to handle the new show. We have to wait.
Seems to me, that for the first runs the overall structure wasn't really clear, but the procers still made some vague statements.
With the introduction of ZDF Magazin Royale the funding of the show got more secure, and they already established the season pattern as I understand it (first episode with some elaborate video or song -> episodes -> winter-/summer-break)
And I guess thats why the structure was established this way after the discussion, with each break marking a new season in TMDB.
ZDF Magazin Royale also follows this pattern, with episodes S01E01 ("Die ganz große Verschwörung!"), S02E01 ("Trump-Wahnsinn made in Germany") and current S02E15 ("Wie die Wikipedia politisch beeinflusst wird") having elaborate entrance-acts at the first episode after a break.
I didn't know this was already discussed, so I actually think using this method would be better than splitting it by year now. (So imo S02E15, S02E16, S02E17 and S02E18 should be moved to a new third season)
Ok, just listened to the episode "Heilende Steine und Mixed Pakoras" of the podcast "Fest & Flauschig" from a couple of weeks ago, and Jan Böhmermann himself talks about listening multiple times to the song "Gegen den Staat" after performing it as the "season-opening-song" of ZDF Magazin Royale (00:04:02).
In my opinion this would support my suggestion, as all three episodes mentioned in my last comment have those so-called "season-opening"-songs

I think so, too. I just created a new season 3 and moved all the info from former episodes S2E15-S2E18 to this new season. I hope I didn't forget anything and made no stupid mistakes.
Also, if anyone is interested in different orders, you can always create an episode group for any order that you need. I just made one group for all episodes and another group for episodes per calender year -> both are here:

Just for general info and a first reply -> we discussed how to handle the previous show in this content issue report:
