I hope his people might have heard of, or might discover, coconut oil therapy - its medium-chain triglycerides have shown the ability to mend neural pathways and actually help Alzheimer's suffers regain cognitive ability with no side effects.
He certainly has nothing to lose.
As a matter of fact, the doctor who first started observing improvements in her Alzheimer's suffering husband in response to her treating him by ingesting coconut oil came to terms with the idea that Alzheimer's is, for all intents and purposes, just a fancy term for diabetes of the brain - that's interesting because, recently, pharmaceuticals have announced that studies have shown some diabetes drugs to have a positive effect on the symptoms of Alzheimer's.
Not that all neural degenerative disorders are the same. But, again, what's he got to lose?

Interesting. I had no idea it was diabetes of the brain. If you haven't seen it already, I recommend checking out The Father with Anthony Hopkins. He plays an Alzheimer's sufferer and the film is constructed to give the viewer an idea of what it's like to have Alzheimer's. It seems very realistic.
Thanks for the information about diabetes of the brain and the movie "the father".
My two cents in this case is that I did research into Bruce Willis disease not by reading up about it
but by observing his behaviour and vocabulary changes by watching his movies in reverse chronological order.
In the year 2019 there is the breaking point between bad B-movies and good ones, like "Glass".
The reason for him getting worse and better in that year is because I assume that some earlier produced movies were released later.
Watch all his movies from that year and you will see the change in his mindset to understand better the impact his disease has on his brain and character.
To me it looks as his speech center is impaired, but mostly as if his heart is not in it anymore.
He always portrayed to be "a simple man and straight shooter" - it seems as if this mindset got the better of him.

Interesting info, DRD! I just did a bunch of reading on the subject and apparently there's some sound logic behind the diabetes comparison. The bottom line is that a diet high in sugar is bad, and coconut oil provides a safer energy source than sugar. Alternately they say variations of the "keto diet" (avoid all sugars & starches) may be promising for the same reason... except that many keto followers overcompensate with saturated fats which are high in cholesterol. My thoughts are that natural, unrefined sugars like raw fruits would also accomplish the same brain-nourishing effect without any detriments.
What I find really annoying is that these ideas have been floated around the scientific community for 20 frickin YEARS, and yet nobody has done a comprehensive study. The closest was in 2007 when they tried to test the coconut oil theory but they gave up because they couldn't find enough participants... Are you kidding me?? That's their reason for abandoning the idea? Give me $100 bucks + 20 gallons of coconut oil and I'll walk down to the nearest retirement home and conduct their stupid experiment... sheesh

Sheesh is right, it's so much BS. Heaven forbid people can find safe, affordable, natural, no side-effect-inducing alternatives to synthetic, expensive, pharmaceutical crap with essays of fine-print contraindications, soooo we'll just NOT do any research that might encourage them to go right ahead and do so.

Dude BINGO. I think the real reason why we aren't seeing research into rational cures is because nobody's funding the bill for such research... because nobody stands to profit! If it became common knowledge that fruits & coconut oil prevent Alzheimers, then Pfizer & cohorts will be out of a billion dollar industry 🤬
But back to Bruce Willis... Suppose he (or any world famous celebrity) were to try natural treatment and it worked. The whole world would know overnight and things would change pronto. Here's hoping he does, for his sake as well as everyone's!
