Biography

Garry Kluger was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and started acting in theatre at the age of eight. Since moving to Los Angeles, he has appeared in over twenty films and television shows, many commercials and more than fifty plays, both popular and classic. Garry’s first book, Original Audition Scenes for Actors, won an award in 1988. His other writings include scripts for television, movie reviews and magazine and newspaper articles. Garry and his wife Lori, were the head writers for the award-winning Discovery Channel series, The Ultimate Guide, and Garry has written series for the FX Channel and many live shows for The Disney Company. With all that he’s written, Garry’s real passion lies in his theatre work, where he has written six plays: Till Death, Or Whatever Do Us Part; Office Hours; In a Yellow Wood; Brotherhood; The Homecoming and Leather, Sculpture, Tourmaline and Gold. The scenes from Garry’s books are continuing to be used to audition actors at most of the major networks. They are also the favorite of many classes from Los Angeles to New York. Garry is very proud to be able to share his work with other actors.
