Discuss Babi Yar. Context

Among contemporary directors this is the worst combination that can happen. Loznitsa is absolutely brutal in his approach to humanity and has a rare talent to recognize and then depict the ugliest sides of human species, and he does it without giving anyone any chances for redemption. The evil is banal and... that's it. And now he is working with that approach on a movie about one of most despicable atrocities in human history, that truly scares me. His movies were already uncomfortable and shocking even without war crimes, so it will take me a lot of courage and alcohol to watch this one.
