The Spanish Quarter in Naples is a maze of alleys, squares, Baroque churches, and the “bassi”, the poor, teeming residential area behind Via Roma, the main thoroughfare. Yet the quarter is culturally far removed from the heart of the city: it's a world of its own, in which the young people spend their days looking for something to lift them out of their condition.

Nei meandri di Napoli sorge Largo Baracche, cuore pulsante dei Quartieri Spagnoli. Nell'incrocio di questi antichi vicoli, il regista Gaetano Di Vaio segue le vite dissestate di sette ragazzi: Carmine, Gianni, Mariano, Giuseppe, Luca, Gennaro e Antonio. Insieme formano una "batteria" per affrontare insieme difficoltà e disillusioni, e contrastare quella malavita che distrugge e opprime la città.
