Shotaro, a young man who was kidnapped as a baby by a prostitute, lives and entertains in a seaside brothel. He often has to spend the night in the same room with other geishas when a rich patron takes over his room to be entertained by his favorite mistress. There he learns more about sex than many adults. So his adventures begin with both women and men.

　　大正年间，艺妓花清（宫下顺子 饰）一心想为她的恩客生下孩子，然后以妻子身份嫁为人妇。然而天不遂人愿，相处三年，花清不曾生养一儿半女。与之相对，其恩客另一宠幸的艺妓染八（絵沢萠子 饰）却生下一男婴，摇身一变成为一位雍容的夫人。妒火中烧的花清假借探望之名，趁机抢走了婴儿。

　　转眼到了昭和年间。花清在大森独自经营一家妓寮，手下有两名青春美丽的艺妓小福（芹明香 饰）和小八重（吉野あい 饰）。当年的男婴也变成了少年，这个叫正太郎（中沢洋 饰）的男孩从小耳濡目染，熟谙烟花巷的各种事情。花清担心他走上歧途，将其送至恩客岛村（花上晃 饰）所经营的电影院学习，却不曾想这恰恰开启了正太郎性启蒙的大门……
