I get that entering a woman is repulsive for a gay man but couldn't the maesters come up with a turkey baster-like contraption to impregnate Rhaenyra with Laenor's baby batter? Surely they are able to piece together when she is ovulating. Also, what a total asshole Rhaenyra turned out to be. They tried to make her sympathetic at the beginning of the series when she was young but seriously, you can't keep your paramour from cumming inside you, you careless twat? It actually makes you want to take the side of Alicent who is acting more and more like this series' Cersei with her doom and gloom speeches to her oldest son who is quite literally a jagoff of the highest order (yes pun intended). I'm so disappointed in how she turned out. I thought from the first 5 episodes that she was smarter than this.

You need to do some research before having sex if you think that withdrawal is a valid form of contraception. Or that it's that simple for a woman to ensure it happens (or a guy, for that matter).

They did have crude forms on contraception though. When it comes to the future of a nation, I think one needs to be a wee bit more careful about your extracurricular activities. We are not talking about a whoopsie where daddy has to work ten more years past his planned retirement age because his moronic daughter let a fool splooge in her. We are talking about something that could result in changing the lineage of a ruler and perhaps starting a war that could end in the deaths of thousands all bcause you failed to be more careful.

The only 100% foolproof contraception is abstinence.
