Police Inspector Anna Jass investigates when the body of a teenager is found in the forest. Zarzycki returns to become Kurier’s editor-in-chief.

Jass begins to suspect the embankment didn’t break by itself, and Zarzycki wants to write an article about what happened in the forest after the war.

The police decide to close the case of the dead teen, but Jass isn’t satisfied with the result. Her investigation leads to a retired militia officer.
