I did some quick research, and I think that you are correct -> the miniseries from 1969 was indeed called "Phantom India":

The film version from 1995 was called "Louis Malle's India."

However, this data was added and locked by moderator @Banana -> I'm not sure why? I'll keep this report open so that @Banana can take a look and perhaps explain why we are wrong?

Could this entry be unlocked so I may revise this and several other aspects of this wonderful film?

I can't access the (random?) medium article janar used as a source, but I changed the title back. The miniseries aired on the BBC in 1970 as "Louis Malle's India". The 1995 film version was called "Louis Malle's India: a Film Journey".
