The plot of this is eerily similar to an industry rumor I heard years ago about Tom Cruise entering into a multi million dollar deal with Katie Holmes. Sure, Holmes was well established at the time, but still.

Here are some more glaring similarities:

Exactly. This IS The Tom Cruise Story. Another aspect that they may use in the episodes is the fact that Cruise is rumored to be gay, which Kyle already mentioned (that he's not) in the first episode. It will be interesting to see them subject Megan to their version of auditing especially since we know none of Cruise's exes have spoken a single word against Scientology.

I certainly hope it is a Cruise story, and I hope to see some creepy suspense. If it's a story about lost souls finding true love after signing a contract I'm out.

Just from watching the first episode, its very heavy-handed that Kyle West is a younger, sexier version of Tom Cruise, and the Institute of the Higher Mind is CLEARLY scientology.

I was wondering the same thing. It seems a mirror image of Tom Cruise/Nicole Kidman/Kati Holmes set up.

Kyle = Tom Cruise Megan = Katie Holmes so, are you saying Lisbeth = Nicole Kidman?

Cruise had multiple romantic relationships by the time he married Holmes. Kidman has nothing to do with this since TC actually was married to her and had kids with her.
