We'll see if this board picks up at all. Okay I know on IMDb anyway, everyone seemed to hate Whitney. But I do think those "Trophy Wives" women were really rude. Now I'm sURRRE her being in this show is not random..it's probably scripted, right? But still. They were being really disrespectful and they do seem to be missing the point...Whitney's class was for beginners, overweight people, people who feel awkward...any of that...to have a nice place to come and dance and not feel self-conscious. That was the point of her class...not to produce hardcore dance experts. This Trophy Wives club seems more about working out, pushing yourselves, sweating, etc. Which is all well and good, but that's not ever what Whitney's class was about. So Jiya is so quick to laugh at Whitney and her class... when it's like apples and oranges.
I'm sure she was introduced to the show for drama, but still, it seems kind of silly and disrespectful.

I didn't see it that way at first; I think Whit and Maddie took it way to heart. I think it's in the delivery. The Trophy Wives were just trying to show them moves they could be doing. Whit's troupe could use some new moves. She should have done like her mom and smiled and said thank you...and then do her own thing, LOL!!!!!!!! I would like to see more of Maddie. She sets everyone straight.

Did you see the episode last night? I thought Jiya was most rude when she brought her posse to whitney's class and was snickering and being sarcastic the whole time...making Whitney and some of the other girls in that group feel bad.
Yeah when she approached them in the park, that seemed confrontational, too, though maybe it was for tips. If she wants to give them tips, which is possible, she could do it in less of a mean way lol

I spoke too soon. I just got done watching that episode, and that woman was very rude. The others were very juvenile for laughing in Whitney's class. For Roy to suggest a dance-off, he better partake in it.

I agree on all counts! It was wrong of Roy to suggest it, putting Whitney on the spot. (Unless it's all scripted.) But again, her class is for people who might otherwise have felt insecure about dancing as a nice safe space to relax and have fun. Not a competitive one-upping group like Jiya's seems to be. It's like pitting a lion against lambs, it aint right

I edited my post, sorry for the typo:) I love Maddie, she sets everyone straight. Jiya seems like she thinks she's better than the others. Yes, I give her the fact that she can move. To chuckle and mock the others because they're not "doing it right" was quite rude and unnecessary. Jiya and her troupe embarassed themselves.

I know, Jiya was like "I thought you came in here to help me clean up..." ummmm, no?! Glad Whitney stood up to that. I'm sure a part of Whitney doesn't want to look like a fool losing to her, so there is some ego, but I also believe Whitney might legitimately be worried about her students, too. Again, they're not there for a competition, just to let loose and dance and feel good about it. So having this other group jumping at the chance to make them look bad ...I'd want to avoid that, too.
