I was unaware this series was coming to a close. I must admit, having just finished Season 4, I was glad it did. I found out by Netflix auto-playing "Farewell to Ozark" and the point was really drawn home artistically with a logo at the end featuring I/II/III/IV. Actually it gave me chills. Well done. Too often folks aren't willing to commit to an arc, and whether that was the plan or just the place they decided to settle, I appreciate it!

The fourth season felt like the weakest one to me, but still very good compared to most anything else airing. I did enjoy the very last scene. It made the murder of a beloved character easy to bare. The season improved as it went along. I hated the red-herring car crash in the opening moments.

I didn't really experience it as a red-herring, but rather a time-jump/foreshadowing. I was confused when I saw it, realized we had gone back in time and then as they all loaded up in the van...happy and whatnot...I went, "Ah! Oh no!" I mean, they definitely could have done without it, but it would have been crazy jarring and--one might argue--even better that way. All in all though, it didn't bother me.
