When she goes in the basement for the very first time, the other captives were already there. Why didn't any of them shout at her to warn her? Did HAP gas them prior to her arrival? I don't think so, because shortly after being locked up, she hears Scott and Homer telling her things.
Also, he let her place a call to her parents when they arrived at his place. Was he willing to let her give away any information to her parents that might allow them to find her? Or did he hack the phone to prevent outgoing calls or something?

Good question, I don't know why they didn't say anything or at least bang on anything to warn her. Maybe they learned early on that it wouldn't change anything or they were grieving the girl they lost.
He obviously just wanted her to think that she wasn't in any danger. The phone call to her parents wouldn't have worked.

I forgot about that. It's another one of the little details that would be significant that somehow aren't in this case. It's not like it would actually be impossible to find an MD with a mine under his home either. Obviously her parents would remember the last time they received a phone call during her disappearance.
