Amazing. I had heard a lot of pretty good reviews from people I felt had god tastes in shows, but when it first came out I didn't really find the synopsis of it that interesting so I passed on it. Now tonight I have found myself burning thru the first 5 episodes and am strongly considering watching ep 6 even though I am dead tired right now. I am already mentally gearing up for when I know William will be gone. Ok, on to episode 6

This is so funny to read because we've done the same exact thing. I almost picked it a week or so ago but saw something I thought would be better, its turned out it wasn't, and tonight we just watched 5 episodes of this show. What a great show, it's like a living puzzle. Episode 6 is tomorrow.

If I'm not mistaken the final scene of episode 5 is William is gone and his son Randall is morning him in his room.

You can't assume anything about this show. You've got to watch an episode all the way through. By now, you've learned you were wrong about Ep. 5.

I also have to say that I binged watch the first several episodes to get up to speed when I first started watching. You get hooked and can't turn the TV off.

I convinced a coworker to check out the show and she binged watch every one this past weekend...all the way up to Ep. 16.

She fell in love with the show and with William...just like everyone else.

The show is simply amazing!

Memphis just GUTTED me. I knew this episode was coming, I even knew before I saw it he dies in it. But it was such an amazing journey getting the backstory on his life & filling in some of the holes.

It was 1 of the hardest episodes I have ever had to get thru as well. Williams final journey was similar a bit to my grandmothers, feeling ok the day prior, then next, she was in the hospital & never even made it 16 hours in there. So when the Doctor told Randall he wasn't coming out, I had to take a couple moments to collect myself.

I really just hope that this is SOME pressure of Randall now.

I can only imagine how tough Jacks death will be whenever they get to that (hopefully not for a couple seasons at least)

Yes, that episode sucks the life right out of you. So emotionally draining.

So sorry about your grandmother.
