Good acting, good writing, and good drama are all I'm asking.

I have enjoyed it for the most part so far. I like how the new lead seems to be a little more vulnerable and not so much a Terrorist Terminator like Jack was.

Yeah thats true.

Having terrorism encounter the American drug / gang scene is interesting and fresh.

How exactly? And 'terrorism' hasn't encountered the American Drug/Gang scene. The only thing that's happened there is that Carter dropped off his wife with Issac - his drug dealing brother. The rest of that story is just drug dealer stuff with the added soap opera twist of both brothers have been with the wife. But at least so far, it's just regular drug deal activity. There's been no terrorism involvement with that gang. So i don't get where you say "Terrorism encounter(s) the American drug/gang scene".

simply because I can. "Opinions so far". take a chill pill.

Apparently - aimc can't seem to stand anyone who's not complimenting every turn of 24. You either have to like it, or fix it. But you can't simply state you don't like it so far. He needs to go start a thread titled "POSITIVE Opinions ONLY". Then he and other fanboys can slobber all over their masterpiece.

I see the problem now with you. Good luck.

Another response you think is clever, but isn't.

There are some quality moments but it is a lesser animal than the original. There are many forced scenes (or many more, to be fair)

I really really do not like the star. There are assorted levels of acting chops and chemistry in the show but he ranks bottom tier for me. Big mistake in casting IMO.

Even though I give 24:L a mere 2/5 stars, it does feed my jones for 24. It'd be nice if they change the lead every season assuming it gets renewed.

I've enjoyed the acting on the show, and I haven't noticed any scenes where the acting was palpably horrible. Usually, the first episode of a series has a lot of stilted acting, but I didn't sense that this time. In my opinion, the star, Corey Hawkins, has done an admirable job, and I think we'll see him in quite a few topnotch projects over the next few years. He had a small role in "The Walking Dead," and his scenes were pretty good.

Same old retreaded plot. And I am not buying the new cast. I am trying to like Corey but he is just too forced. Actually, the guy who plays his brother mit've been better in the lead. He seems to have gravitas and screen presence. Corey just doesn't have screen presence.

My mom nailed it on the head when she said "this actor lack personality". And that was it. he isnt doing a bad job, he just lacks the it factor for a leading man.

That said I cant wait to see how Tony plays a role~

Yeah he is kind of a bad actor I cant believe they chose him as the lead he is better when he plays a side character.

he was in the new kong movie and he was good. he plays a better nerdy type than a ranger leading an elite squad. i think he is just too young looking or something. i also think the actor who plays the brother would have made a better lead.
