The 2015 Radio Disney Music Awards were held and filmed on April 25, 2015, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The show premiered on Sunday, April 26, 2015, at 8/7c on Radio Disney and Disney Channel. For the first time, the broadcast nominees for the awards show were announced in a televised special, Disney Channel Presents the 2015 RDMA Nomination Special, on 27 February 2015 on Disney Channel. All categories and nominees were highlighted on the Radio Disney’s 2015 RDMA Nomination Special, a two-hour on-air programming feature that was aired the next day.

The main show included Fifth Harmony, Nick Jonas, Becky G, R5, Natalie La Rose, Sheppard, Rachel Platten, Tori Kelly, Shawn Mendes and Sabrina Carpenter. The opening act was performed by The Fooo Conspiracy, Jessica Sanchez, Jacquie Lee, Sweet Suspense and Alex Angelo

The 2016 awards are presented at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Scheduled performers: Ariana Grande; Flo Rida; Kelsea Ballerini; DNCE; Hailee Steinfeld; Laura Marano; Zara Larsson; Jordan Smith; Daya; Sofia Carson; and Sabrina Carpenter.

The 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards was held on April 29, 2017, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony was shown on Radio Disney and Disney Channel the following night on April 30, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 p.m

The 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards were held on June 22, 2018, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony was shown on Radio Disney and Disney Channel the following night on June 23, 2018, from 8:30 p.m. to 01:30 a.m. (EDT) and on Disney International HD and VTV3 on July 29, 2018 from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. (IST). It was cancelled on Disney Channel in Southeast Asia and VTV6 in Vietnam due to unknown reasons.
