Most notably, among the goodbyes in this episode, there's a segment with the cast reading fan mail. Ivan picks up a letter and says, "This is for our friend Dom, who couldn't be here tonight," dedicating the episode to his long-time friend and coworker Dominic Lucero. Dom was originally the main character of the show before being diagnosed with leukemia half way through the second season. He returned for an episode here and there. A poll was sent out to fans asking for mail sent to the studios to continue the series. All attempts at protest had high results, yet issues following a corporate buyout meant the axe for Roundhouse.
