The official page for "Le tueur du lac" https://www.tf1.fr/tf1/le-tueur-du-lac doesn't mention "Le mystère du lac" and here https://www.tf1.fr/tf1/le-tueur-du-lac/news/tueur-lac-nouvelle-mini-serie-debarque-tf1-9983598.html they that it's a new series.

Reading this : https://www.telestar.fr/serie-tv/autres-series/le-tueur-du-lac-tf1-faut-il-avoir-vu-le-mystere-du-lac-pour-comprendre-312431 , it seems they should be considered as 2 separate series.
