1981's Brideshead Revisited is my favourite t.v. miniseries of all time, a true masterpiece, and, I think, utter perfection. The casting, acting, storylines, production values, locations shooting, costumes, script, etc. is all exquisite. I consider there to be no faults in this deluxe miniseries - other than that it concluded.
Back when it originally aired, this was major "event" television. I subsequently also watched multiple re-airings of it, in full or part, then eventually, years later, purchased the DVDs set (also eventually purchased the soundtrack CD, which is wonderful).
Here's another thread I created, in 2017, regarding this miniseries.

I grew up watching the mini series and they were great fun. Both entertaining and educational. I hated that they ended them.

Yes: It was wonderful, during the '70s, '80s, and '90s, the frequent excellent miniseries that aired on t.v. I readily remember a number of them.

Simply the greatest piece of television ever made. Bar none.
