Is this series still active, and will it eventually resume airing on PBS?

I enjoyed all the past seasons of Last Tango In Halifax. I believe I read, months back, that it had been renewed and would be returning. Yet I've not heard or seen anything new about it since then. Does anyone happen to know whether, for sure, it has, indeed, been renewed and will be airing at least one more season?
I personally always think of this as being a summertime series, for some reason (perhaps past years when it aired it was during the summer months?). Maybe it'll pop up sometime in the next few months? I hope so, as I want to learn what all happens next!

Apparently, there is a 2-part Christmas special to air December 2017 and there is talk of a season 4, but so far only talk. Interesting link.

I just now noticed that on TMDb's Overview page for this series that the following appears: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/47801-last-tango-in-halifax/season/4 (I don't believe that was yet posted there when I last looked nearly three months ago)
Apparently the 2-part special you mentioned aired last December in the UK, now is being saved till December of this year for US airing. I look forward to it!

For sure. I'd be happy to watch the Christmas special smack dab in the middle of Summer 2017.
