Valentine & Beefcake defending the tag team titles against Hillbilly Jim & Cousin Luke.

Oh cool what was the venue and city? That sounds like around 1985

It was two days before Thanksgiving in 1985, in Lakewood, NJ.

Ahh lakewood I know that area. Mine was sgt. slaughter vs. the Iron Sheik at the nassau coliseum. Lot of blood in that one. All coming from the sgt ofcourse.

That sounds like fun. I guess you're from the Tri-State Area.

Long island yep. Good memories of MSG and nassau coliseum shows.

My first live event was January 1991, Copps Coliseum, Hamilton Ontario. The main event was Mr. Perfect vs. Roddy Piper for the Intercontinental Championship. There are a couple matches from that event that are up on YT (Undertaker/Tugboat, Big Boss Man/Barbarian). The Perfect/Hot Rod match was on a compilation vid.

I forget the date, but it was a house shown in Adelaide sometime in October 2005. Main Event was World Champion John Cena vs Triple H. It was an ok match that had some cool spots, nothing to rant and rave about. I was more excited by the fact that I got to see Shawn Michaels & Ric Flair vs Kurt Angle & Carlito.

It's kind of a different scene now which is a shame. Everything used to revolve around going to see live events so it was really something special. Now it's all about tv ratings and ppv's so there's almost no reason to ever go to a live event anymore. To me that's a great experience to see live wrestling.

Well, apparently live attendance was down when Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose were headlining their respective brand shows. Personally, I think it's because people are tending to try and hold onto more money and they already have access to major features via the WWE Network. Not only that but house shows are well known for not having any major title changes etc.

I think it's the same thing the WWE should do with Raw and Smackdown, have a few more title changes and try to make it look at least like things can happen - this was one of the major reasons why I thought Bailey winning on RAW was a good move.
