I really enjoyed Get Smart, in reruns, during my growing up years. Fun show! I especially remember the shoe that, if memory serves me accurately, opens to become a phone?

Yes, as well documented in this series, cell phones were actually invented in the 1960s, but the government, realizing the drastic reduction in quality of life they would cause, wisely suppressed this knowledge.
