Item: Тимон и Пумба
Language: ru-RU
Type of Problem: Incorrect_content
Extra Details: Hi! On the TMDB website, this series has the wrong number of seasons (why 8? who took this amount and where did it come from?) and series (169 (!) - where does this information come from?) in them. The correct number of seasons (three) and episodes in them (eighty-five) is indicated on IMDb: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112197 Please fix it (I do not have access to such TMDB functionality).

Hello! I did a little poking around here and there. And it seems that I have at least partially figured out this “leapfrog” with the number of episodes... but not with the number of seasons! As we can see here: https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/4429-timon-pumbaa/seasons?language=en-US - on TMDB almost everywhere the episode duration is 12 minutes. There we can also see that the TMDB indicates that the series has 169 episodes in seasons one through eight (determined by adding up the number of episodes in each season). Plus three “special” episodes (for some reason on TMDB they are listed as 22 minutes long, which is hardly true, since, for example, Song: Yummy Yummy Yummy lasts about two and a half minutes (I’m writing this from memory)). And anyway, how did these three episodes end up in the “specials”? The same Song: Yummy Yummy Yummy should be included in episode 11 of the first season. If we look here: https://disney.fandom.com/wiki/Timon_%26_Pumbaa_episode_list -, we will understand that there should be 171 such “episodes” in general. And not “episodes”, but segments... it turns out, every episode (lasting about 22 minutes) consists of an average of two to three such segments aired on the same day. The series aired simultaneously on the syndicated block The Disney Afternoon and on CBS Saturday mornings. And it was broadcast this way from September 8, 1995 to November 25, 1996 (two seasons):
Where did the "seasons" from 1997 and 1998 even come from on TMDB? I couldn't find any information on this...
The third season actually came out much later: In 1998, 39 new episodes were produced due to overseas demand. These episodes started airing on Toon Disney in 1999! The show was produced by the Canadian animation studio Studio B. Productions, for Walt Disney Television Animation.
More than six months have passed since my previous request... and nothing has changed, unfortunately. And if you look at how many years have passed since the dates of previous similar requests in neighboring topics, the conclusion inevitably arises that the problem is not being investigated in any way. And it is not clearly explained whether the information on the TMDB is correct or incorrect. And I also cannot fix anything on my own, since such an opportunity is available to a narrow circle of people on TMDB.
I ask you to finally correct the identified inconsistencies. Or please explain clearly what source of information you were guided by when you “produced” a bunch of seasons with ununited segments into single episodes. And on what basis were the “three” segments allocated into a separate special season.
Thank you in advance. Sincerely!
