Do you think Hastings is bad? He certainly looks so suspicious now.

Everything seems to be pointing in that direction. I just don't want to believe it.
Let's hope that the writer Jed Mercurio is using Hastings as a red herring and he's creating a lot of drama to keep the series interesting.
At the end of series 4, Hastings had his picture taken down, but that doesn't clear him.
Kate still has her suspicions, and if Steve hasn't had any doubts about Hastings yet (unlikely), John Corbett will certainly have got him thinking.
Arnott: "They again! Who's they?!"
Corbett: "Powell! The chiefs! Your boss!"
Arnott: "Hastings?"
Corbett: "Open your eyes, mate. Hastings shot dead one of the OCG. A dozen AFOs had weapons on him. You seriously telling me they couldn't have brought him in for questioning? And Hastings, he doesn't get reprimanded. The chief gives him a pat on the back! What the hell's going on there?!"

Me too. Maybe he is being set up. Kate could be 'H'. I'm going for the one people least expect. I was never too keen on her character. Found her to be too goody too shoes, so makes me think maybe she is 'H'. Steve is my favourite. Season 6 will be the last I hear, then we will know.

I don't know who 'H' is, but he/she better not be someone as disappointing as the person who was revealed to be Red John in "The Mentalist (2008-2015)".
Every one seems to be susceptible to blackmail by the OCG. Why has this not already happened with Hastings, Kate and Steve?
The AFO Jane Cafferty was blackmailed because of her affair. Kate also had an affair in her past. And who knows what she's done as UCO. Perhaps not as bad as Corbett, but still...
She won't want all this to become public knowledge and ruin her happy family life.
Steve is struggling with something, since everything that happened in series 4.
And isn't he getting himself into trouble by working together with Corbett? Did he inform anyone (Hastings, Kate)?
I don't really trust Sam Railston, his ex-girlfriend. She broke up with him and is she now trying to get back together? Why?

Valid points. I like Steve working on his own with Corbette. It now makes me think more and more that it is someone we know to be good is likely to be H. Steve is close with both Kate and Hastings, so maybe now he will get to see the bigger picture. Can’t wait for Sunday. Love this show.

And we'll find out who's photo Cafferty picked out. Should be a shocker, or (rhymes with) not.
Note: I like Morse....the inspector, not the code.
