After Barbara Bain left at the end of Season Three and the female agent guest star of the week that was Season Four, for Season Five the producers thought that it was time for a female agent to be part of the regular cast again.
This led to the casting of Lesley Warren as Dana Lambert. With mixed results, IMHO. For Season Six and half of Season Seven Linda Day George played Casey (who is the only regular cast member, after Paris not to have a last name). Much better, says I.

I prefer Casey. I felt she was more believable. And not too hard on the eyes as well. Not that I didn't like Dana.

@Jayhn1111 I preferred Casey. My main problem with Dana was the age gap between her and the other cast members (with the exception of Doug), was way too apparent. I always felt that Season Five was "take your daughter to go spy with you day".

@Jayhn1111 I do have to be fair to Dana and say that there were a few episodes that she was very good in. My favorite of those was The Amateur, the episode where Anthony Zerbe accidentally finds the MacGuffin that Dana's trying to get out of the country with. His boasting that he can play spy, only to fail miserably, and Jim's idea to get the team out safely (with the MacGuffin), was cool!

I was never as hard on Dana as other fans seem to be. I thought she was good in a bunch of episodes. I can't pinpoint what they were since it's been so long for me. Which reminds me I still haven't watched Nicole yet so I'm far behind my own schedule of trying to watch 1 episode per week. But then again I guess there's no rush

@Jayhn1111 : Well please let me know when you see Nicole and give me your impression of it.

Finally got around to watching Nicole. To be honest I don't remember thinking it was a great episode but I really enjoyed it so much more this time around. An interesting love story involved. Nice little twist where she turned traitor and then her conscience got to her, etc...

@Jayhn1111 I remember when I would watch that episode when I was a kid. I had a huge crush on Peter Graves and I was so I was always annoyed that Joan Collins got to kiss Jim and I didn't. I also liked the scene when Rollin was playing the "dirty old general" with those two young ladies.

Yeah that was pretty funny. The dirty old general lol. I was always jealous of Peter Graves that he got to kiss and fondle Joan Collins. WOW what a woman.

@Jayhn1111 I also got jealous that Joan Collins got to kiss Peter Graves too! I thought that I should mention (if I already haven't) that my favorite Dana episode is The Amateur.

@Jayhn1111 and @Lima-2 and Klondike6: Could you please go to my thread "Season Six: Changing Missions" please? I'd really like to hear some thoughts about the way the IMF was changed into an American only show ( O Diety, that sounds like something the lunatic-in-chief would say. My apologies).
