For those of you who may not already be aware, So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) is returning on the FOX network, on American t.v., on Monday, 12 June. And judge Mary Murphy (who I've always been a huge fan of on there, and missed after she ceased being on the show) is returning!
The Hot Tamale train is back in the station! WOO HOO!!!

I still haven't had a good chance to watch Monday night's episode, but likely finally will within the coming 24 hours. Meanwhile, I've not intentionally (just has worked out this way) skipped the last couple World of Dance installments, but am becoming further distanced from that new series steadily since it's not fitting in well with my weekly timing and keeps feeling like yet one more thing to try to get around to (meanwhile hasn't actually truly managed to become something I care whether gets skipped or not).
SYTYCD, on the other hand, is definite must-see t.v., so will always be found time for.
As for past contestants who made it through to the late rounds, including a great many who were finalists or even winners, unless they then become professional dancers on whichever other dance competition show, or certain past contestants appear in an occasional music video (or Mark who became LGG's lead dancer), generally we never see or hear of them again - unless, of course, certain ones become included among the SYTYCD professional partners for contestants of new seasons. So perhaps rotating various of them as guest judges would be a great thing not only for longtime fans of the series, but also would be a good way to get judging from people who've actually been contestants on the show.
