"Deep Sea Vision, a Charleston, South Carolina-based team, said this week that it had captured a sonar image in the Pacific Ocean that "appears to be Earhart's Lockheed 10-E Electra" aircraft." (CBS News - 01/29/2023) (CBS News - 01/29/2024)
Must admit I haven't been excited about aviation news since...I-don't-know-when! Just boggles the mind to think that after almost 90 years this could be it.
There are some events that capture the imagination of the world...and Amelia Earhart's disappearance is definitely near the top.
Looking forward to "The Big Reveal".

I remember that episode! My favorite part was when Captain Janeway told Amelia Earnhart that by Janeway's lifetime it was common knowledge that Earnhart's around-the-world trip was a cover for an espionage mission to take photos of Japanese military bases on Pacific Islands, and Earnhart snaps at Janeway "That was supposed to be a secret!"

@FormerlyKnoewnAs: So, what's your opinion on the "Was Amelia Earnhart's round the world flight a cover for a spy mission or not?" Debate?
