The judges want to get an immediate sense of the artists' identities through an impromptu performance of an original signature song each artist has written.

This week, the artists must master the art of collaboration. Working together in groups, they take on two of Becky Hill's most famous tracks. With the host, Jordan North, by their side, the pressure is on as the artists perform in front of the judges and on one of the most iconic stages in the world.

The halfway point in the competition is approaching, and platinum-selling artist Jason Derulo and his fellow judges, international music manager Frank Harris and UK chart topper Becky Hill, continue their search for the next global music Icon. In this episode, the judges are throwing another creative curveball at the six remaining artists, and this time they will be testing their commercial potential in song production.

Their image and confidence in front of camera are under scrutiny as the artists are split into groups and tasked with producing iconic music videos for tracks gifted to them by special guest judge Olly Alexander from Years and Years. Barry is committed to coming out on top in this task.

In the semi-final, the four remaining artists take over BBC Radio 1. They are grilled in an interview, perform in the Live Lounge, and their original music is scrutinised by the Playlist Team.

The three finalists take on their biggest challenge yet: they’ll perform a live duet with Jason Derulo and a solo of an original song in a bid to win a huge record deal.
