Emil Knapik's fellow inmates die after taking drugs; Emil is taken to the hospital, but he escapes; Rafał with his daughters, Hania and Gabi, is to visit Germany with his wife, Magda, but Hania refuses to accompany him.

Investigator Danka Schulze, Rafał's former girlfriend, comes to the Wejman's house and asks him about Emil Knapik; prison guards organise a manhunt for Emil; Rafał is busy looking for his daughter, Gabi.

Emil goes to the hospital; police search for Ariel's killer, Gabi's boyfriend; Rafał's wife presses him to report his daughter's disappearance.

The police find Gabi's clothes on the barge, along with a lot of blood and drugs; Rafał does not believe that his daughter could have committed suicide.

Investigators ponder the possibility that Gabi may actually be a victim, and the crime scene a staged one. Commander Artur Zawisza discovers Krzysiek Ryszka under the influence of synthetic drugs and threatens him.

At the penitentiary, Krzysiek Ryszka sells designer drugs to Chudy, Emil Knapik's cellmate. Two inmates die instantly, and Emil is taken to the hospital. The next day, after Rafal's visit, Piotrek confronts his brother.

The search party manages to find Gabrysia's shoe on the cliff. The discovery does not herald good news for the Wejman family. There is a quarrel between Piotr Ryszka and Krzysiek Ryszka.

After having spoken to Emil, Rafał comes to Danka Schulze and attempts to convince her of his hypothesis.
