Well - I guess this heralds the end of a mostly great series. There were some flaws in it - for instance how Josephine was straight for fifteen years - devastated by Pierre's death - and yet somehow she became a lesbian briefly before swinging back to heterosexuality with poor old patient Edelmann who had always been in love with her. I found it quite silly that she could drive to Spain and be stopped by customs who found illegal cigarettes in the car - but not a ten year old boy. Don't they have enough illegal immigrants in France that she felt it necessary to bring another one in. We will never know because in France it is illegal to collect data on ethnic minorities. So - to Laure - again so stupid to have her shouting up at a window to Gilou with Cisco inside the house - and very convenient to shoot the guy who could confirm that Gilou became a part of the gang - but did they think that Titi would keep his mouth shut? One gang member said that he would not go on the raid if Titi was armed - and yet there he was in the getaway car with a veritable arsenal of guns. I also found it questionable that a swat team would engage in a gun battle whilst they were on ground level and the criminals high above them - that is strategically moronic. Never mind - I was very happy to see that the lovers ended up together - sad to see them go.

Series 8 was good, barring the last episode and Josephine's somewhat unconvincing conversion into Mother Theresa, doing lots of free legal jobs and completely having left behind being a Queen Bitch. The last episode was a bit of a let down on several fronts to me too, none of the strands really came off satisfactorily to me for a show that usually has plot and a semblance of realism at heart. But taking the series and the entire show as a whole I stick with my 8/10. Glad it ended with a decent series near the peak of its powers.
