Discuss Reacher

I’m slight_smile that the series is back, but I’m unamused because I just read (meaning within the past 2 years, or so) the book that S2 is based on. Unless the writers throw in enough curves…as they sometimes do…by “interpreting” rather than just regurgitating the source material I’m going to be severely surprise-deprived this season.

Oh! To be cursed with an eidetic memory sunglasses.

Even so…

I’m still enjoying the series. I especially like Reacher’s team…hats off to the casting people…(so far) each is as I imagined them when reading the book. Also, this is the only show I watch where I’m really keen on giving the “peanut gallery” treatment to ‘The Big Guys’ foes during fight scenes. Don't know why I get such a kick out of them...but I do!

Now that it's been renewed for S3...

Can say I would really, really like to know more about, see more of Fierce-Loyal-Lethal Neagley. Yes, I know the show is "Reacher" and not "Reacher And Team".

But...

Even though I know they all have demons in their background; I get the feeling that with Neagley's, even her demons-have-demons.

Maybe that old adage: "Be careful what you wish for." applies here. Maybe she wouldn't be half so intriguing, if we KNEW ALL about her.

Anyway...

While the other team members seem a lot more settled/balanced when it comes to their "normal" lives; Neagley seems to be more like Reacher. Wouldn't mind seeing her around some more.

Reacher: Season 3

Prime Video revealed that the seventh book in the Reacher series of novels, Persuader, will be the upcoming season's source material. The logline, per Prime Video, is "Reacher must go undercover to rescue an informant held by a haunting foe from his past." (TV Guide 1/24/24).

Reacher "going under cover"?

thinking Wont that be like sending an elephant undercover at an ant farm!?

If it is like the book, then it won't be a problem. Just another 'rescue and vengeance' plot with a possible twist.
