Biography

Shane Brox (born November 8, 1968) is a Danish clothing designer and host of the children's show Shanes Verden on DR1.

Brox was born in Canada, but later moved to Norway with his Norwegian mother and Danish father. After high school, however, he moved to Denmark to study design at the Design School in Kolding. Here he graduated in 1991 and was immediately headhunted by clothing giant Levi's. But after eight years in Brussels as a designer, he returned to Denmark. In 2001, he began performing for children. The focal point was Brox's own creative childhood of playing and building elaborately executed toys consisting of everything from empty paper towels and milk cartons to lost coat buttons and an end-of-life sweeper.

The concept was later developed in collaboration with DR1, where the broadcast Shanes Verden was well received. In 2008, Shane Brox was awarded the "Children's and Youth Programme of the Year" TV Award.

In 2013 he presented the advent calendar Christmas at the Castle in the program Shane shows Christmas at the Castle at DR Ramasjang.

Shane Brox has written 12 children's books so far.
