Besides the bride's cool hair and her tics and interesting personality (not to mention her hissing!), my favourite thing about this movie has always been strange Doctor Pretorius, as portrayed by wonderfully inimitable Ernest Thesiger (one of my fave character actors of all times). What a memorably, entertainingly oddball character!

He was very captivating as a doctor, his acting was top notch and kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved it.
The only thing I didnt enjoy was the framework of it being a story unlike the first and following sequel where it's true events.

It wasn't as good as I hoped it'd be. What rocked my socks about it was a line of dialogue from the original monster that feels like it got referenced in the title of a Spike Lee joint: "She hate me."

Yeah, that "She hate me" comment the creature makes is perfect.
I'm with you, that I don't consider this movie (which I rate 7/10) overall as good as it should be.

The music score really stands out! I downloaded a "Horror Movie Scores" album that goes from Drag Me To Hell all the way to Nosferatu..icon horror themes...Bride of Frankenstein really stood out. Then my local golden age theater had a free screening of Bride and watching it again on the big screen...the score really stood out this time!

I can just imagine how amazing that theatre screening must have been to experience!

Haha! Oh yes: I have two very favorite scenes from this classic horror piece.
First off, when the Monster makes his way out of the rubble and runs into flighty maid (Una O'Connor) and she takes one look at him...and that look very slowly spreads across her face until it morphs into the funniest scream in all of filmdom!
And, secondly, when they introduce the Monster to his bride-to-be, and it turns out that she's as repulsed by him as any other living being! I'm not sure that was intended to be so funny, but I sure thought it was.

For me favorite thing about this movie is dressing, I love the clothes of all characters, and also their hairstyles.
